Commitment to Accessibility

As an independent author, I am committed to ensuring that my stories and my website are accessible to everyone, including individuals with disabilities. I am currently in the process of auditing and improving T. D. Carlson AuthorWebsite to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standards.

Actions Taken

I am actively working on the following improvements:

• Adding descriptive alternative text (Alt-Text) to all meaningful images.
• Ensuring high contrast between text and backgrounds for better readability.
• Simplifying page layouts to improve navigation for screen readers and keyboard users.
• Providing clear heading structures to help users navigate content.

Known Limitations

While I am working diligently to update all 7 pages of this site, I am currently addressing a photo gallery on Page 3 and images that contain text. These are being updated or removed to ensure full compliance.
